In order to increase the activities and improve value added to its members, the Board members of CAIPP has created various subcommittees open to all members. The purpose of the subcommittees is primarily to create small focus groups of interested individuals who can help achieve the scope and mandate of CAIPP, which among others is to promote and enhance the market awareness for matters related to Cybersecurity, Data Protection, Privacy and Resilience.  

The subcommittees are as follows: 

1. Association Growth Committee – (AG): 

Pursuing growth initiatives over selected industries including government, financial sector, startups,and EU funding. professional trainings.  

2. Cybersecurity /ICT/Digital Transformation – (CySecDT): 

Promoting Cybersecurity /ICT local market presence growth through industry professionals networking and the adoption of new ICT technologies, enforcement of cybersecurity controls and measures, as well as exploring innovative solutions. 

3. Communications & Marketing Committee – (CaM):

The Communications & Marketing Committee (CaM) is a standing committee that develops and implements LITA’s strategic communications and marketing plan to promote LITA’s mission, vision, values, and important news around membership, publications, education, volunteering, events, and more 

4. Event & Sponsorships Committee – (EaS):

Targeted events committee given the importance of events and sponsorships. Events program owner/keeper/participation. Moreover, the committee shall encourage education programs (including continues staff development programs) relating to Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Data Privacy, identifying topics where there is a need for education and bringing to the attention of CAIPP members and interest groups, and the local community in general, the need for programs related to such topics. 

5. Law & Regulation – (LaR):

Reviewing, analysing and addressing key aspects and updates on various regulation and legal updates, relating to the topics of Cybersecurity, Data Protection and Data Privacy. 

The new Board of the Association for the Protection of Information and Privacy of Cyprus, a member of the CCCI which was elected at its recent Annual General Meeting, was formed at its first meeting on March 31, 2022 in the following body:

The CCCI in collaboration with the Cyprus Association for the Protection of Information & Privacy, invite you to the webinar "Work from home – Information Security & Legal Aspects", that will take place on 11th December 2020, from 11:00 to 13:30. The webinar shall be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

This training course offers 3 non-certified CPD points by the Cyprus Bar Association.

During the latest Board meeting of CAIPP (the Cyprus Association for Information Protection and Privacy), which took place on 05.08.2020, a decision was taken to replace two members of the Board in order to further support the functioning of the Association.

Changes arose in the composition of the Board, following Mr. Christos Kasianidis and Mr. Giorgos Tsaparilas resignations. Mr. Christos Kasianidis risigned from the position of Treasurer and Mr. Giorgos Tsaparilas from the position of a member of the Board. The two positions are now fulfilled by Mr. Marios Theofanos and Mrs. Karolina Argyridou respectively.

Our Association is proud to announce that in cooperation with the organisers of the 1st Infocom Security Cyprus “The new era in data protection” has set this high profile Conference under its auspices. The event is set for the 23rd of May 2018. Our Chairman Mr. Kyriakos Parpounas will address the Conference during its opening ceremony. The relevant industry is highly interested and the participation to date is exceeding 400 professionals from all related industries.

We are pleased to announce our participation at the Limassol CCCI GDPR event, which will be held at the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 4th of May. 

IMH is organizing the Data Management and Protection Forum for the first time in view of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and CAIPP is to happily participate.
